Structure of the conference

Plenary lectures are on current problems that are solved in many countries and have to be solved on international forum. Themes are: interdisciplinary approach to teaching/learning physics as results from physics, physics distance education, information and communication technology in physics education, and physics introductory courses at universities. Invited speakers are from all over the world.

Panel discussion as a continuation of plenary lectures with information about state in different countries.

Working groups and workshops (themes): Computer based experiments, hand on experiment, exploitation of physics in different types of technologies, investigation of waterand air around us, etc.

Poster sessions will be included in programme.

Language

The official language for GIREP2004 is English.

Conference fee

Payment instructions

Your payments for all GIREP2004 activities can be carried out by bank transfer to our account.

All bank transfers are accepted in € only. All cash payments at the registration desk during the conference are accepted in Czech crowns (CZK) only.

Accommodation

The conference organisers can offer accommodation in three categories:

Category A

The Imperial Hotel is located in the city center, approximatively 10km from the conference venue. Hotel website: http://www.imperial.cz

Hotel Atom is located about 5km from the city center and 10km from the conference venue. Hotel website: http://www.atom.cz

Category B

Harmony Club Hotel is located in the middle between Imperial Hotel and the conference venue. Hotel website: http://www.harmonyclub.cz

Hotel Nicolas located near the city center, about 15km from the conference venue. Hotel website: http://www.nikolas.cz

Category C (recommended)

Halls of Residence in the Campus of Technical University Ostrava, where GIREP2004 is to be held. Breakfast included in the price.

As to the A and B categories, contact the hotels directly. Advanced booking is recommended. Reservation in the Halls of Residence can be made using registration form.
